Aston Martin back on the track
After all the struggles with the engine, the Aston Martin of GRC Racing entered the first test phase at the airport in mendig this Saturday.
Until the last minute the engineers from Spano Rennsport Technik was fighting against the time. An error from the shipping company sent the motor to Paris, France instead of Cologne, Germany.

Excellent debut for the car and drivers
The result of the VLN race of Saturday is totally accepted. The BMW 120d of GRC Racing was reborn finished 5th place in its class and 81th overall.
The car was driven by Harald Hansen and Thue Kristensen, two drivers that never before had driven on the extremely demanding Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Completely reborn BMW at Nürburgring
After the servere collision with the crash barriere at Nürburgring for about 6 weeks ago, GRC Racing’s BMW 120d is back on the track.
Actually you could call it a whole new car. The body shield with safety cage had to be replaced, and the engine, put into the car at 24H Nürburgring in May, had only run the 24-hours endurance race and one VLN 6-hours endurance race, also in the Eifel Mountains.

The dates for 24H Nürburgring 2009 scheduled
24H Nürburgring 2009 will take place on the 21st to the 24th of May 2009. Lots of people will have the possibility to go to the race as many have extra days off due to Ascension Day.
Traditionally there are 220.000 spectators to the fabulous event, but lots of grandstands and areas for tents and caravans give enough space for everyone.

24H Valencia cancelled
The next great challenge for GRC Racing was supposed to be the 24-hours endurance race in Valencia in just about two weeks.
Unfortunately the management has decided to cancel the race, due to a lot of teams not having paid the fee for participating, on time.

Schubert Motorsport took it all
With the overall victory for the Schubert BMW Z4 and a class victory for the BMW 120d, Schubert did what they came for.
Contributing to the succes was the GRC Racing driver Jacob Thomsen, who took his turn in the diesel BMW.

Two hours to go
After finishing the first 10 hours og 12H Hungary things looks pretty good for Schubert Motorsport.
Schubert BMW 120d, with influence of GRC Racing, is leading the diesel class D1 with more than 5 laps. The tires have started to behave and the crew around the car repports no problems.

After 6 hours is the Schubert BMW 120d in the lead of Class D1 in 12H Hungary.
Peter Posavac did a fantastic stint after the little accident earlier had set the car some positions back.

Hungaroring after 3 hours
After the impressive qualification time made by the Hungarian driver Csaba Walter things looked pretty good.
The first hour of the race was accomplished witout troubles. After 60 minutes of racing the Schubert BMW 120d, again with Csaba Walter behind the steering wheel, in the lead of Class D1 (diesel cars) and 5th overall.

Schubert in front
The Schubert BMW 120d, driven by, among others, Jacob Thomsen from GRC Racing was qualified as the best car in Class D1 at 12H Nürburgring.
With a lap time of 2.00,594 the car was 7 seconds faster than the uprunner, a Seat Ibiza Cubra from the German Didi Motorsport.
