The last months development for GRC racing culminated at VLN 4 with a horrifying crash with the BMW 120 D
VLN 4 triggered a big change for GRC Racing. Unfortunately the BMW 120d was involved in a huge accident, which destroyed the car beyond possibilities of repair. A DTM Astra crashed infront of the BMW and left our driver without any chance to avoid hitting the Astra with over 200 km/t. Luckily there was no serious injuries of the drivers, the Astra driver needed a check up at the Hospital where as our driver walked away from the wreak. Looking at the remains of the cars is a real testimony to how safe well build race cars are.
With the BMW out of business and the amount of technical problems we have experienced with the Aston Martin the team has decided to take a time out from racing in order to get the Aston up to Speed.. This involves a fair bit of testing to decide if this project will be worthwhile continuing.
But two new projects are getting closer in the Horizon… one involving a factory supported project with a brand new factory race car for endurance around the world. More to follow soon, but a witness to the fact, that the last 3 years hard work has been noticed.
In addition GRC will enter a whole new scene… and this is far away from the racetracks.. We want to beat the current record from London to Capetown in a modern Offroader. This project is in its early phase but if someone should be interested in joining do not hesitate to contact us.
A new beginning is maybe too much… because we keep the experience in the team and the spirit is the same but we do take our time to restructure.
Much more to come ...
