The Team

GRC Racing driven by Spirit...

We, a group of 3-4 natural born petrol heads decided to change from sprint racing to endurance racing after realizing that the cost per track mileage was extremely high and because of the waiting time that is very often involved in a sprint racing weekend. In Scandinavia we almost get only about 1½ hours of track time during a whole sprint race weekend whereas we during a 24H weekend get nearly 8 hours of track time per driver!!!

We also realized that we would never be offered any factory driver contracts so for us the main objective was, and still is, to stretch our resources as far as possible whether it's our own money or sponsorships.

We looked into the market of renting cars and seats for endurance races and did participate in some races as "pay drivers" in other teams, but every time with the same result…. Cars and teams were not like described and the repair costs after the race were astronomically high.

As we enjoyed the endurance races we had only one option and that was to build our own team! This we did and now cars and team are like we want them to be… This has been a long, hard, and very costly road which now after 2 years finally has started to pay off.

With this approach we are doing things very differently than many other teams… We want pay drivers to feel like a part of the team so they will come back and drive with us again and so that we will reach the finish line every time we start a race. We allow less experienced drivers to race with us if we feel they are well aligned with the team spirit. We always have one main aim and that is to have lots of good experiences together and to see that finish line! Then good results will follow and we have learned that when it comes to 24h racing, patience is the key factor to success.

Everyone in the crew is equally important from catering girls to chief mechanics, so the atmosphere is very friendly and we all have the same aim.. furthermore giving up is not an option for us!

The economic side is very important to us of course... we run on a cost sharing basis so the prices we offer are depending on that we all run after the same set of rules.
